Voice XML (VXML)

Voice Extensible Markup Language (VXML) is a markup method for describing and integrating voice with web pages and services such as IVR and UM. VXML was developed via forum and since been adopted by the W3C. However, a newer similar standard, Speech Application Language Tags (SALT) is currently under forum and the W3C which carries the backing of Microsoft.
